I will forever remember my first second hand purchase. I was in my early 20’s and lived and worked in the epic center of it’s time the early 80’s on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. Circuit Ave to be exact at the time the streets were filled with people and live music coming out of just about every other food and beverage establishment. 

The place was Take It Easy Baby the most eclectic clothing shop I’d ever seen! Such a mix of old military uniforms, women‘s shoes, and some of the coolest artifacts I’d ever seen.
I found a used mens tux jacket it was short so it sat at my waist and I LOVED it! I wore that more times than I can count. I cared for it and had it dry cleaned every year. It was the best with jeans, well if you know me at all I am all about the jeans! With a white tee it was awesome, it was different and I had the only one. From a very long time ago I have tried to follow trends, or the norm but somehow it’s never served me well. I just do better doing my best to be my authentic self!
